  • Re-enactments Rewrite history by putting your own spin on some of NYC's most storied events!
  • Fake History Test your guide's improv skills in our "Fake History" round, where guests can point to any inanimate object and demand the guide explain its "historical significance"...

Went on the Drunken History Tour where you walked the lower West side and stopped at four "historic" bars. Our guide Jesse was very nice, shared a lot of fun facts. My only disappointment with the tour was in the advertising. Our stops at local spots they said would include one drink at each spot. They did not tell you that you must buy a drink to get your free drink. I would have been fine with it, had I been told in advance to bring more cash. Luckily for our group, the last three stops were during happy hour. Also the last three bars were of the same ownership and quite similar. A variation in stops would have been nice.(Posted on 2/22/2016)
The "Mell and Shell" best NYC tour. Review by Willow50

Amazing tour with our competent driver Mell, and Shell our guide whose knowledge and presentation of the history of NY, was entertaining and very thought provoking. Sheldon so obviously loves NY and is passionate about its history past and present. He is the best tour guide I have ever met. Be sure to ask for "Mell and Shell" by name for your tour. They are fantastic.(Posted on 2/20/2016)

We had the pleasure of Mallory as our guide. Mallory was fun, pleasant, and completely wonderful as our guide. We would definitely take another tour with this company.(Posted on 2/15/2016)
Have taken three of their tours Review by nywelshgirl

I have done three of their walking tours so far - chocolate, drunken history and food. All very good. The guides have been great. Knowledgeable and fun. They are a little expensive, but I usually get 30% off or two for one, and that makes it well worth the money.(Posted on 2/15/2016)

One of the Best Parts of our Trip! Review by MoreTravelPlease3131

This walking tour (the drunk history tour) was one of the best parts of our trip! I'd definitely put it in the top 5 of of highlights from the 5 day vacation! The tour guide was great- so knowledgeable and personable. She was very friendly, easy to talk to and fun! The history and pop culture tid-bits were super interesting and the bars that we stopped at (and shots we were given) were exceptional! So cool to see a different, more local part of the city and take in some great historical parts of old New York!
