Calling chocoholics near and far! Join this decadent tour to taste delightful chocolate whilst exploring New York City’s very best chocolatiers and world-famous dessert houses.

Calling chocolate lovers near and far! If you’re someone who believes that a day without a sweet treat is a day wasted, then we’ll turn NYC into a chocolate fest for you. Imagine spending an entire afternoon strolling the picturesque streets of New York City, all while indulging in some of the best chocolates the Big Apple has to offer.

Our NYC chocolate tours will introduce you to flavors as rich as the history of chocolate itself. It all started a long long time ago… The word “chocolate” comes from the Aztec “Xocolatl” which ironically means “bitter water”. Such a name, obviously, didn’t stop people from exploring, to the point that the first “Death by Chocolate” case was recorded in 17th Century Mexico. And how about the connection between chocolate chunks and religious tensions? Or chocolate and the invention of the microwave?

Well, cocoa beans don’t actually originate in New York, but the art of chocolate making has definitely developed in the city. Many of the chocolate workshops are located in the West Village, and that’s where we’ll kick off. This iconic neighborhood is known not only for its charm and history but also for its incredible dessert scene.

As you dive into the basics of chocolate making, our guide will sprinkle in fascinating tidbits of local history and insider knowledge about the area. Did you know that the West Village was once a hotbed for artists and bohemians? Now, it’s a haven for foodies and expert chocoholics. On the chocolate tour of New York, you’ll do a ton of chocolate tasting but without spending a fortune!

While the focus is most definitely all things chocolate, you will also embark on New York sightseeing.

West Village

It is the best place for chocolate tasting in NYC! We will be taking a look at what this neighborhood has in store. Unlike much of Manhattan’s grid system, West Village is more tree-lined and its architecture is iconic. We’ll slow down and look at old New York with brownstones instead of skyscrapers.

Long story short, get ready for NYC’s finest chocolatiers and hands-on experience of the chocolaty good stuff! Only the best made the cut, and tasting their delicious wares will prove it! Discover cacao origins in the mists of antiquity, learn about the amazing health benefits, and join NYC chocolate tours for plenty of fun facts and chocolate anecdotes to impress your friends with.

Unique Chocolate Experience

October 29, 2025

Tour guide, Marci, was very friendly and informative. The chocolate we had was unique with great backstories. It really didn’t feel like we walked for 2 hours. I don’t like guided tours and was hesitant to go on this one but I was pleasantly surprised and will do another tour when we holiday in NYC again. The tour ended with cupcakes, flavor of our choice, and the kids loved it. We are looking forward to doing the haunted tour with Marci!

My fiancé Ninos and I had a great time. Our guide Vince was great and we enjoyed learning all the history plus we enjoyed the chocolate.
